The Kids in the House Web site is a public service provided by the Office of the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives. Our mission is to provide educational and entertaining information about the legislative branch of the United States government to students of all age levels. Topics covered include the role of the U.S. House of Representatives, the legislative process, and House history.

Kids InfoBits meets the research needs of students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. It features a developmentally appropriate, visually graphic interface, a subject-based topic tree search and full-text, age-appropriate, curriculum-related magazine, newspaper and reference content for information on current events, the arts, science, health, people, government, history, sports and more.

Overdrive allows you to check out ebooks and digital audiobooks to your phone, tablet, or other device. You’ll need your library card number and possibly your password to get logged in.

This site offers public domain audiobooks recorded by volunteers for free use on any relevant device. Like Gutenberg, they tend to be items published before 1924.
